Job Description

Req ID : 1607477

The role:

  1. Co-creating our Social media 'brand' - from the look and feel to the voice of the company
  2. Creating engaging social media content and scheduling social media posts, liaising with staff as needed
  3. Building and managing our social media community including moderating and responding to comments and messages
  4. Growing our followers on social media platforms
  5. Identifying key influencers and developing influencer engagement strategies
  6. Making links with appropriate organisations to build new relationships within our online community
  7. Managing content calendars, inputting key social media activities and updating as necessary.
  8. Keeping up to date with Mental Health Awareness events and news and posting content that is relevant to these.

What's in it for you?

  1. Opportunity to make a real and significant difference to a very small organisation.
  2. Satisfaction in knowing you are supporting our valuable work in the Mental Health (MH) and Wellbeing arena, making a difference to the lives of teachers and pupils nationally.
  3. Work closely with our Founding team to understand the project & audience.

Our main target audience is NHS England and School leaders, but teachers and Young People (YP) will also use our platform in the future - we are keen to look professional and also open to collaborating with young people to create content, after all this mission is about them! We would like to work with someone who cares deeply about our MH mission, keeping their finger on the pulse when it comes to emerging trends and initiatives from DfE and key players in Mental Health (ie, Young Minds, MQ etc)

We are looking for someone who is interested in policy, education politics, the future of education, promoting equality and equal opportunities within schools and impacting culture and the way that schools and colleges in the UK approach mental health.

Other skills should include:

  1. Experience in creating engaging digital content using a range of digital tools
  2. Good understanding of social media trends and audiences
  3. Knowledge of social media monitoring tools, digital evaluation and analysis
  4. Good communication skills including good telephone and writing skills
  5. Excellent attention to detail
  6. Team player
  7. Ability to research and collate information from the internet

What do we do?

We are developing a platform to help Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs/practitioners) and Senior Mental Health Leads (SMHL) to implement and maintain a whole school approach (WSA) to mental health and wellbeing. We are co-creating with Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) and schools with excellent WSA practices to create templates, streamline processes and bring everything they need into a one-stop WSA hub that guides the user from school audit, through planning, implementation and collecting feedback from students, teachers and parents and carers.

Digitising WSA with a comprehensive and systematic approach poses several advantages; creating the fundamental homogeneous conditions for large-scale academic analysis of the data, to evidence impact and illustrate that schools can improve the mental wellbeing of all stakeholders and, thus, the wider community.

A big mission with authenticity at its core, the Co.lab founders Emma & Dale have a deep connection to education and healthcare. We would love to hear from you if this touches your heart too!
