This role requires a deep understanding of platform-specific requirements, trends, and storytelling techniques, as well as experience in live video and animation, to drive engagement and growth for the company's online presence. If you’re successful, you will ensure high levels of social engagement across multiple platforms, your content will drive engagement to CTAs, and help bring the organization’s campaigns and initiatives online.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop, design, write, plan and execute social content across all major platforms.
Act as a creative authority on the social media ecosystem for our clients’ teams by staying on top of best practices, trends, and industry updates. Manage product tagging with product feeds and tracked link generation. Experience contracting and managing social influencers.
Work with social monitoring, social listening, and community tools (i.e., Brandwatch, Hootsuite, etc.).
Stay current on social media and interactive marketing trends and educate agency teams about the social media industry & trends—including influencer/blogger space.
Produce same day video edits, photography, and graphics. Be WILDLY creative and fun to work with.
Strategize to help reach both traffic and brand building goals
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
1 year of relevant experience in video editing for social media platforms
Relevant social media and news experience
Strong communication, editorial, and analytical skills
The ability to work in a fast-paced news environment—taking initiative, receiving constructive feedback, and working with minimal supervision.
Excellent news judgment and nose for breaking stories and trends on social
Understanding of pressing topics for diverse cultures, communities, and racial and ethnic identities.
