Site Safety Officer

Responsibilities:

1. Site Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the construction site to identify hazards unsafe conditions and unsafe practices.
2. Safety Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of sitespecific safety plans including emergency response procedures fall protection plans and hazard communication programs.
3. Training: Provide safety training to workers and subcontractors on topics such as personal protective equipment (PPE) equipment operation and safe work practices.
4. Safety Meetings: Organize and lead safety meetings with site personnel to discuss safety concerns review incidents and reinforce safety procedures.
5. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with local state and federal safety regulations as well as company safety policies and procedures.
6. Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents near misses and safety incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
7. Safety Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections training sessions and incident reports.
8. Safety Equipment: Monitor the availability and proper use of safety equipment such as harnesses helmets and guardrails.
9. Coordination: Collaborate with project managers engineers and subcontractors to address safety concerns and integrate safety into the construction process.
10. Emergency Response: Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure that emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers and first aid kits is readily available and in working order.
