Do you have customer service experience in the Automotive, Powersports, Marine or Motorcycle equipment sector?
Are you technically inclined and love discussing the latest BRP, Can-Am, Mercury, and Yamaha Powersports and Marine equipment?

THE COVE is looking for a technical minded and customer-oriented Service Writer to join their team in MacTier, ON! The Service Writer is the liaison between the customer and the technicians; communicating directly with customers, managing their needs and expectations regarding equipment service maintenance and repairs.

The main responsibilities and tasks of this role include:
Providing excellent customer service and ensuring an ongoing commitment to the needs of the customer.
Responding to customer inquiries in a timely manner, over the phone and in person.
Write descriptions of the problems or services needed to determine the type of service or repairs required.
Understanding customer needs and provides them with a complete solution.
Manages customer concerns and problems promptly.
Deals with challenging situations in a professional manner.
Completes and reviews repair orders with customers.
Estimates cost and time for service and repairs needs. Ensures final invoice is the same as estimate and vehicle is delivered on time.
Acts as liaison between customers, parts and technicians and manages the status of work orders.
Assists the warranty clerk on submission of manufacturer warranties.
Track repair orders, parts requests, unsold repairs.
Schedules service and repair appointments.
Perform walk around on customer s vehicle with customer present.
Operates computerized work order systems.

High School Diploma or GED is a MUST. 2 Yr. Post-Secondary diploma in a technical/mechanical field is an Asset Experience in a Service Advisor or similar position within the Automotive, Powersports, Marine or Motorcycle equipment sector is ideal. Mechanical background working with Automotive, Powersports, or Motorcycle Equipment is an Asset. Knowledge of and passionate for understanding market trends in the powersports equipment industry. Excellent verbal and written communication Basic math and keyboarding skills Periods of light physical effort Computer literacy and basic computer skills Physical Demands and Working Conditions Work environment involves occupational hazards associated with working in a garage. Standing/Walking for periods of up to 9 hours. Lifting and/or carrying of parts and other merchandise, as required, on a regular basis.
