Overview:

The Service Engineer plays a crucial role in providing technical support and maintenance for the organizations products and services. They are responsible for ensuring that customer issues are resolved promptly and effectively contributing to overall customer satisfaction and retention. Service Engineers also play a key role in product improvement by providing valuable feedback from the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct onsite installation repair maintenance and troubleshooting of technical equipment
  • Respond to service calls and provide technical support to customers
  • Diagnose hardware and software issues and recommend solutions
  • Ensure proper documentation of service activities including detailed reports and customer communication
  • Collaborate with the product development team to provide insights from the field for product improvement
  • Train customers on product usage and maintenance best practices
  • Participate in product testing and validation activities
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks and updates for customers equipment
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology
  • Assist in creating technical documentation and knowledge base articles

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science or related field
  • Proven experience in technical support or service engineering role
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and software
  • Strong understanding of technical equipment and systems
  • Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to nontechnical audiences
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Certification in relevant technical areas is a plus
