Senior Trade Finance Officer

For a leading global commodity trading company that is at the forefront of innovation and sustainability. The company is presently setting up their Headquarters in Baar Zug and is one of the fastest growing physical commodity trading and supply chain management firms globally.

Tasks

Job Purpose

Analytical finance lead with 57 years of experience in trade finance structured finance and/or treasury in the commodity sector. Proven track record in handling selfliquidating trade flows in the soft commodities and minerals sector. Strong leadership and advanced numerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating banking relationships
• Optimize and develop credit lines
• Optimize usage and cost efficiency of various financing solutions as well as implementing off balance sheet structures.
• Handling of daytoday transactions financing borrowing base receivables and repo for relevant product/region
• Perform timeous controlled execution of settlements for Treasury and cash transactions
• Drive process and system improvement projects for trade confirmation
• Perform validation and confirmation processes for financial trades
• Assisting/Facilitating implementation of financing controls in operational processes
• Proactively communicating with the Treasury department
• In collaboration with CFO ensures adequate financing capabilities by discussing amendment to existing lines flexibility and/or seeking new financing sources.
• Driving the design and implementation of treasury and trade finance procedures and processes

• 57 years minimum experience in treasury & trade finance operations in a trading house/commodity bank
• Trade finance solutions and instruments
• Hedging of commodity price risks and FX exposure
• Incoterms
• Experience in soft commodities and/or metals & minerals
• Solution oriented with good communication skills
• Relationship Management
• Exceptional negotiation and leadership abilities
