Our client operates as a comprehensive destination management company specializing in inbound travel to various African countries like South Africa Namibia Kenya Tanzania and Uganda. They provide tailored services and personalized consultations for both individual travelers (FIT) and group leisure segments.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate client requirements based on special interests needs and budget constraints
- Provide timely quotations for all requested services
- Make reservations for all requested services
- Acknowledge and respond to written requests from agents
- Maintain communication with agents regarding reservation status payment terms deadlines and booking conditions
- Organize Meet and Greets when necessary
- Manage documentation for all reservations including itinerary planning travel packs vouchers rooming lists and filing
- Ensure timely invoicing of clients and address any account queries
- Arrange tour guide services as needed
- Negotiate the best rates with preferred suppliers
Qualifications:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Preferably a qualification in Travel & Tourism
Experience:
- 3 years of experience handling group travel within the tourism industry
Competencies:
- Proficiency in written and spoken German would be a great advantage
- Ability to understand complex group itineraries and costing
- Familiarity with Tourplan software is advantageous
- Knowledge of group bookings quotations and costings
- Strong negotiation skills with suppliers
- Understanding of customer needs and products
- Excellent knowledge of South African and regional geography
- Strong product and logistical knowledge.
