Senior Tax Associate

Description

• We are seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our Private Client Services team. The individual will work closely with partners managers and clients with tax compliance and planning.

Essential Duties

• Prepare tax returns ranging from individuals partnerships and some related entity returns for highnetworth families.
• Review tax returns and projects of Tax Associates while gaining increasing responsibility with the review process.
• Responsible for more complex tax return preparation.
• Assist in staff development and training.
• Research and consult on various tax engagements.
• Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
• Interact with managers partners and clients.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in accounting from an accredited college/university required; MST a plus.
• 3 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting required.
• CPA certification or demonstrated progress towards obtaining CPA certification preferred.
• Experience in preparing individual partnership and entity returns required.
• Knowledge of Federal State and Local tax laws.
• Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with computer software packages and platforms including Microsoft Office Suite ProSystems and CCH.
• Ability to work additional hours to meet client deliverables.
