Role and Responsibilities:
As a Senior System Administrator you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the network and servers of the organization. Your key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring good firewall/VPN knowledge for secure network communication.
- Regularly monitoring and maintaining network and servers to ensure smooth operations.
- Handling switching/routing tasks to optimize network performance.
- Configuring alerts for service failure events and monitoring logs for troubleshooting.
- Providing desktop system troubleshooting and maintenance support.
- Managing server/network backup systems to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Managing licensing activations patches and security updates for operating systems applications and devices.
- Managing Active Directory DNS and DHCP services for efficient network management.
- Conducting audits to identify and address system vulnerabilities.
- CCNA/MCSE/MCITP certifications are considered as added advantages.
- Familiarity with PowerShell and scripting will be an added advantage.
- Willingness to work in shifts as per organizational requirements.
Candidate Qualifications:
To be successful in this role you should have:
- A strong background in system administration with at least X years of experience.
- Excellent knowledge of firewall and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in switching and routing.
- Experience in desktop system troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Familiarity with server/network backup systems.
