Salary: $75000$85000/year

Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced staff to join our closeknit team of professionals. You will have exposure to a wide range of clients and industries with a focus on meeting our clients needs in an efficient and friendly manner. You will have responsibility for the completion of files individually and as part of a team working directly for partners. Successful candidates will demonstrate their ability to work well with minimal supervision and balance multiple tasks and files.

Responsibilities
Preparation of Compilation engagements and financial statements for clients in a variety of industries.
Preparation of small audit and review engagements financial statements and supporting working papers with minimal supervision.
Assisting with larger audit and review engagements within a supervised team.
Preparation of Personal Corporate Partnership and Trust tax returns.
Preparation of tax compliance and information filings including T4 T5 EHT HST and WSIB filings.
Ensuring that all audit and accounting issues are properly identified and resolved in a timely manner.
Understanding accounting technical standards relevant to financial reporting in Canada.
Directly working with clients to coordinate the efficient completion of engagements request necessary information and review accounting transactions.
Correspondence with CRA regarding corporate personal payroll and sales tax issues.
Effectively communicating with the team clients and relevant government agencies.

Qualifications
University degree with a specialization in accounting/finance.
Completion of or close to completion of CPA CA designation.
4 years practical experience in a midsized public accounting firm.
Experience with Caseware/Caseview/Taxprep/Quickbooks is required.
