Senior Staff Accountant

Our client have an immediate opening for full time and part time Senior Staff accountant.

Job Duties:

• Compliance review of tax returns for individuals corporations trusts and partnerships and the related foreign reporting requirements
• Participate in tax planning engagements and the preparation of technical tax memos
• Prepare instruction letters for the execution of corporate reorganizations estate & postmortem tax planning business succession planning and the purchase & sale of a business
• Conducting tax research and interpreting tax legislation and proposed legislative changes
• Providing technical expertise as an internal resource to staff who need tax support on their client files or on specific questions from their clients
• Preparing client correspondence including; reports & analysis discussion of technical issues and recommendations and attending client meetings where appropriate
• Providing assistance to other offices of the Firm as required and collaborating with other service lines across the firm

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of a University Accounting Program or equivalent
• Pursuing a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation
• 2 years of experience in a public accounting firm
• Willingness to enroll or enrolled in the CICA InDepth Tax Course
• 23 years of work experience with Canadian Income Taxation
