Senior Software Engineer will develop information systems by studying operations; designing developing and installing software solutions; support and develop software team. The Senior Software Engineer will lead a team of developers responsible for building new and support existing websites.

As a team lead you must have the ability to prioritize well communicate clearly have a consistent track record of delivery excellent software engineering skills creative engineering multitasking and must be a highly motivated individual.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow data usage and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle
• Working knowledge of GIT BitBucket JIRA and Command Line
• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis problem definition requirements recommendations solution development and proposed solutions
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation flowcharts layouts diagrams charts code comments and clear code
• Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications standards and programming
• Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures
• Update job knowledge by studying stateoftheart development tools programming techniques and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
• Protect operations by keeping information confidential
• Provide information by collecting analyzing and summarizing development and service issues
• Support develop and mentor junior and midlevel engineers by providing advice coaching and educational opportunities
• Collaborate with team to brainstorm and create new products
• Make informed decisions quickly and taking ownership of services and applications at scale
• Understand business needs and know how to create the tools to manage them.

Project Management Reviews

Review and have a solid understanding of the of all projects that are you are leading. Your responsibility includes but are not limited to:

• Weekly project reviews
• Weekly Sprint Planning
• Daily & Weekly project reporting
• Development of Software Requirement Specifications
• Providing project updates.

Team Management

As a Senior Engineer you will be responsible for leading one or multiple project teams. Your responsibility includes but are not limited to:

• Appraisals for all team members reporting directly to you
• Ensuring that appraisals are completed for all direct & indirect technical employees
• Be involved in recruitment of team members across the organization.
