Tasks

The Role

In this role youll join our multidisciplinary project teams and play a key role in solving some of the most intricate challenges in composite manufacturing. Youll represent software within these teams planning designing implementing and deploying automation solutions.

As our product portfolio matures youll have the exciting opportunity to lay the technical foundation for these products. Youll help craft the engineering vision own the technical landscape and develop applications that scale alongside our organization. A believer in the power of incremental learning youll strive to ship software frequently. Youll also share your knowledge by mentoring fellow software engineers through onthejob training and guidance.

Your Work

• Maintain awareness of current technical solutions.
• Contribute to the architectural level applying best practices and holding team members accountable.
• Proactively address technical needs keeping the customer at the center of your decisions.
• Collaborate with the software team to continuously improve our work practices.

Youll be working with:

• The Digital Lead
• Colleagues in various departments (Project Management Engineering)
• Partners and colleagues in the UK
• Suppliers and customers

Requirements

Were looking for someone with:

• A Bachelors or Masters degree in Mathematics Computer Science Robotics or Engineering (or a related field).
• A minimum of 8 years of software development experience with a strong engineering background.
• Experience with Python software architecture backend web development data management/engineering and Docker (compose).
• Fluency in English.
• A passion for crafting simple welltested and maintainable code.
• The ability to explain technical concepts clearly to nontechnical audiences.
• Mentoring experience (a plus).
