# of people in Finance: Newly created position with 1 person currently handing accounting processing (AP AR Payroll)

Systems: QB Online and amp; Ceridian for Payroll FP and amp;A is all done in MS Excel

Work set up: 2 days in Office in Markham (Thursday is mandatory and other day is flex) and amp; 3 days WFH

Languages: Biggest region for them is China fluency in English and amp; Mandarin is HIGHLY DESIRABLE

2 day in office in Markham (Thursday mandatory other day in flexible) / 3 days WFH



Responsibilities:


Youll be at the forefront of our financial strategy responsible for scrutinizing dissecting and evaluating every aspect of our financial and accounting operations. Your role goes beyond mere numbercrunching; youll be the architect of the financial future providing strategic insights and invaluable guidance to propel our business forward.


Your keen eye for detail and analytical prowess will be instrumental in identifying areas for improvement and streamlining financial processes. By delving deep into our financial data youll uncover opportunities for innovation and growth helping them stay ahead of the curve in an everevolving landscape.


In essence as the Senior Finance Leader youll be more than just a numbers person youll be a leader driving innovation and fuelling growth across the organization.


Planning and Forecasting:

  • Prepare comprehensive management reports including those tailored for executive presentations trend analysis and financial modelling to provide senior management with insightful perspectives.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis evaluating operational performance trends and comparing variances against business plans and historical results.
  • Identify operational and strategic implications derived from financial analysis offering meaningful insights actionable advice and recommendations to management.
  • Oversee and manage the annual corporate budgeting process ensuring timely updates to meet the evolving needs of the business and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with individual departments to develop budgets review monthly results and conduct indepth analyses aimed at driving efficiency improvements and costsaving initiatives across the organization.


Reporting and amp; Analysis:

  • Create diverse management reports to support executive presentations.
  • Conduct trend analysis and financial modelling to offer comprehensive insights to senior management.
  • Analyze operational performance trends comparing variances against business plans and historical data.
  • Identify operational and strategic implications providing meaningful insights and actionable recommendations to management.
  • Take ownership of the annual corporate budgeting process ensuring timely updates to meet business and reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with individual departments to prepare budgets and review monthly results conducting deep analyses for efficiency improvements and costsaving initiatives.


Policy and amp; Procedure Development:

  • Establish and refine financial and accounting practices at corporate and departmental levels to align with company goals enhance operational efficiency and foster growth.
  • Develop and implement robust financial controls processes and policies to ensure the integrity of business transactions and support corporate expansion.
  • Promote transparency and accountability by enforcing adherence to established financial procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize financial practices to adapt to evolving business needs and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally to integrate financial processes into daily operations and leverage technology for improved efficiency.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff to instill a culture of financial stewardship and compliance throughout the organization.


1 Year success criteria:

  • Business acumen and operational soundness is needed in this role. If the organization has achieved cost savings and revenue growth as a direct result of your insights advice and leadership that would be seen as a very successful year.



What We Need From You:


  • 7 years experience with min of 5 years specializing in (FP and amp;A).
  • Degree in Finance Accounting Business
  • CPA Designation
  • Expertise in FP and amp;A reporting and analytics with the ability to align financial outcomes with strategic and operational goals.
  • Proficient in conducting analytical tasks including data modelling adhoc analysis and problemsolving.
  • Possesses strong business acumen and financial intuition complemented by exceptional interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in Mandarin HIGHLY DESIRABLE



Compensation and amp; Package:


Base: $120 $130 k (negotiable) they are open to seeing salaries at all level as long as you can justify

Bonus: individual and corporate performance drive

Benefits: Covered 100% for individual dependants requires some contribution

Vacation: up to 3 weeks last week of December and first week of January full off
