Senior DevOps Engineer - Confluent Cloud And Kafka Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in Confluent Cloud and Kafka to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Kubernetes cluster deployment CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and extensive experience working with various database systems including Google BigQuery MySQL XtraDB AWS Aurora etc. Additionally the candidate should possess a deep understanding of Agile development methodologies and multicloud infrastructure including both private and public cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

1. Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters including Helm Chart and Harness configurations to support our infrastructure needs.

2. Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate the build test and deployment processes.

3. Utilize Confluent Cloud and Kafka expertise to architect and optimize event streaming solutions for realtime data processing and analytics.

4. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate and maintain database systems ensuring high availability scalability and performance.

5. Work closely with development teams to streamline software delivery and release cycles in an Agile environment.

6. Implement and maintain monitoring logging and alerting solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of our systems.

7. Stay uptodate with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our infrastructure and development processes.

Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.

2. 58 years of relevant experience in DevOps with a focus on Confluent Cloud Kafka Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.

3. Proven experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters including Helm Chart and Harness configurations.

4. Strong proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.

5. Handson experience working with database systems such as Google BigQuery MySQL XtraDB AWS Aurora etc.

6. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices.

7. Experience with multicloud infrastructure including both private and public cloud environments.

8. Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
