Reporting to the Area Controller, you will be joining a core team responsible for providing accounting support to Sites and Management and reporting to business partners throughout Canada on financial You will be working closely with Operations, Site Managers, the Finance Team and other stakeholders to obtain and verify information for the monthly close process, as well as working with many of the same people to assure proper supporting documents and reconciliations throughout the This opportunity offers a variety of activities, diversity and opportunities for creativity and personal

A High-Level Look at the Day-to-Day:
Partner with operations your sites to ensure accuracy of purchases, payables and overall
Create, review and analyze month-end results for your sites, and follow-up on issues and questions during close This includes posting of journal entries, running and review of reports from multiple systems and preparation of financial
Ensure accruals are complete and
Lead and/or participate in monthly financial meetings with other finance partners, operations and site
Partner with site operations and management to ensure gatehouse policies are known at site, are being maintained, and that reporting is
Work with DMs, management, operations and fleet generally, to ensure proper procedures are being followed and information is being communicated correctly in a timely
Compare transfer and MRF volume IB and OB and balance
Review fuel, parts, tires costs and communicate with
Review disposal costs and investigate/analyze significant
Prepare and distribute summary reporting files for Finance team and Area
Reconcile relevant balance sheet GL accounts monthly, including researching and solving
Maintain and reconcile Fixed Asset subledgers with annual counts and
Assist with confirmation of and/or analyze bi-annual vehicle parts counts performed by
Stay updated on policy changes and partner with team to communicate same to Operations as
Assist in the preparation of working papers for annual audit or biannual internal
Prepare ad hoc reporting, analysis and investigation as needed across multiple
