Senior Accountant - Germany amp Norway

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team supporting our operations in Germany and Norway. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting financial reporting compliance and comprehensive bookkeeping duties.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management:

• Oversee and manage the financial accounting processes for Evac Groups operations in Germany and Norway.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards.

1. Compliance and Taxation:

• Stay abreast of changes in German and Norwegian tax regulations ensuring compliance and minimizing tax liabilities.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors to optimize the companys tax position in each country.

1. Bookkeeping:

• Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records for transactions in Germany and Norway.
• Perform daytoday bookkeeping duties including accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger entries.
• Manage local payments and bank transactions

1. Audit and Internal Controls:

• Coordinate and support internal and external audits providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information.

1. Analysis and forecasting:

• Reconcile Intercompany transactions and balances.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliation and forecasting.
• Ensure correctness of entity data in group reporting system.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field; professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA CPA) is highly desirable.
• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant preferably in an international context.
• Indepth knowledge of German and Norwegian accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
