SDN & Virtualization Developer 12month contract Luxembourg
One of our important clients based in Luxembourg is currently looking for a SDN and virtualization Developer for a 12month contract.
Remote Onsite presence of 2 to 3 days per month ONLY
Please find the spec below:
Join our innovative squads as a Midlevel Developer where you will play a pivotal role in the development and optimization of Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Virtualization services.
These 2 squads are dedicated to advancing the capabilities of SDN technologies and VMware virtualization. If you have a passion for networking virtualization and possess expertise in Ansible Jenkins Terraform Python Bash/Shell scripting and PowerShell we invite you to be a key contributor to our cuttingedge initiatives.
Responsibilities:
1. Software Development:
Design develop test and deploy software solutions to enhance SDN (Software Defined Networking) and Virtualization services within the squad.
Collaborate with team members to write efficient reusable and maintainable code.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing services by identifying opportunities for optimization.
2. Automation and Orchestration:
Utilize Ansible Jenkins Terraform Python Bash/Shell scripting and PowerShell to automate and orchestrate SDN and Virtualization processes.
Implement automated workflows to streamline deployment configuration and monitoring tasks.
Contribute to the development of infrastructure as code (IaC) to enhance service scalability and reliability.
3. Collaboration:
Work closely with crossfunctional team members including architects network engineers system administrators and other developers to ensure seamless integration and interoperability.
Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning daily standups and sprint reviews to foster effective collaboration within the squad.
Engage in knowledgesharing activities and contribute to the collective expertise of the team.
4. Documentation:
Document code scripts and configurations thoroughly to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer within the squad.
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for SDN and Virtualization services.
Requirements
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Ansible Jenkins Terraform Python Bash/Shell scripting and PowerShell.
Strong understanding of Software Defined Networking (SDN) principles and Virtualization technologies especially VMware.
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and practices.
Experience:
Minimum of 35 years of experience as a developer with a focus on SDN and Virtualization services.
Proven track record of working in a collaborative and agile development environment.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Proactive attitude with a strong commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
Requirements:
EU citizenship.
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in any other European language is a plus.
