Scientist II Senior Scientist - Synthetic Biology

Job Description

We are looking for highly motivated & experienced candidates with backgrounds in

Synthetic Biology Molecular Biology Bioengineering Metabolic Engineering or related fields to join the Strain Development & Engineering Division at IncreBio (formerly JuiceInnov8). You will be working on metabolic engineering of biosynthetic pathways in target organisms specifically yeast and other florawith the ultimate goal to achieve biosynthesis of rare molecules based on company milestones.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Employ your expertise in molecular biology work especially in yeast genome manipulation
• Genetic design of strains biosynthetic pathways in target host organisms and develop suitable cultivation to optimize production
• Testing the metabolic and physiological performance of your microbes
• Streamline a project planning as well as conducting experiments relate to the current companys target molecules
• Collaborate within the team to breakdown key challenges hack the solutions and debottleneck our system.

Requirements

PhD/MS in Synthetic Biology Molecular Biology Bioengineering Metabolic Engineering or related fields

• At least 2 years of industry/research experience with track records of engineering at least 1 organism
• Eager to work in a challenging and intense long hours experiment environment
• Strong molecular biology and metabolic pathway engineering background.
• Experience in lipid biosynthesis is a strong advantage.
• Expertise in molecular biology techniques including PCR restriction digest analysis plasmid design and construction DNA sequence analysis and microbial transformation (bacteria yeast).
• Experience in yeast genome manipulation especially with CRISPRCas system will be a strong plus.
• Able to adapt and thrive in a rapid pace & quick changing environment.
