Scientific - Data Scientist 1

Job Description: Creates data mining architectures/models/protocols statistical reporting and data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets. Analysis may have many applications such as to address a business issue or provide a competitive advantage for
the organization. Requires strong statistical and data visualization skills. Applies basic engineering concepts when analyzing data to create tools to drive efficiency.

Basic Qualifications:

0 years experience with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters.
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access.
Strong understanding of JavaScript SQL Python Tableau and AzureDevOps.
Knowledge of data gathering cleansing and transformation techniques.
Understanding of Agile Software Development.
Understanding of Mechanical Engineering Concepts/Theory and Production Operations.
Knowledge of databases (SQL Server AWS Databases (DynamoDB RDS or similar)) and schema.
Ability to travel 10% of the time between Palmdale and Redondo Beach.


Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering/Computer Science.
Handson experience with core Python data science tools (Numpy Pandas Matplotlib SciKitLearn etc.)
Handson experience with deep learning libraries (TensorFlow PyTorch etc.)
Experience with anomaly detection and synthetic data strategies for machine learning.
Data engineering skillsets.
Experience with computer vision (CNN Transformer architectures) and image/video data preparation for machine learning.
Handson experience with time series analysis and sequence modeling.
Experience with Cloud environments (Azure AWSSageMaker S3 etc.)
Handson experience with sensor deployments (IoT sensors) and automating data collection and processing in industrial settings.
Experience with dashboarding frameworks (Plotly Dash Panel Streamlit Tableau etc.)
Agile development.
