We are looking for an RRV Fitter to join Ground Controls Workshop and Technician Team in our Rail and Infrastructure Division.

You will be responsible for preventative maintenance mechanical and electrical repair of Ground Controls vehicles & related ancillary equipment.

This is a fieldbased role and you will work from either the depot in Newark or nationwide as required.

Ground Control is the UKs largest external maintenance and commercial landscaping company . Alternating shift Pattern

  • 8:00am 17:00pm Monday Friday
  • Saturday day overtime x 1.5 (as required)
  • Saturday night overtime x 2 (as required)
  • Sunday overtime x 2 (as required)
  • Due to the nature of our business there will be a requirement to provide out of hours technician cover on call on a rota basis @ overtime rate for onsite cover.

What youll achieve:

  • Complete diagnostic analysis where needed.
  • Action all repairs and maintenance as per RPA / company / manufacturers requirements and standards
  • Use fault diagnosis to ensure first time fix is efficient and cost effective.
  • Complete full end of shift handovers including vehicle on or offroad status.
  • Prepare required paperwork.
  • Build rapport and develop trust from both internal and external customers.

  • Contribute towards the continuous improvement of processes/methods and operating practices within the Workshop.
  • Own a continuous learning mindset and take part in training to grow your skills.

Who were looking for:

  • Ideally youll be qualified with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in HGV Vehicle/Plant Machinery Maintenance Repair as a minimum with RRV RPA Experience.
  • Experience working as a RRV Technician.
  • Someone with strong customer service communication and problemsolving skills.
  • Youll have a safe responsible working attitude safety first then teamwork!
