About the job

The Route Surveyor (Quotation Surveys) plays a crucial role in safeguarding the quality of our products and services through thorough and objective Site Surveying quantifying and reporting.

By conducting Surveying activities and producing reports the Route Surveyor will assist the Project estimating team in collating pricing information and the production of quotations to the DNO for electrical and civils schemes on the DNO Network.

The project types range from small to large EHV cabling including substation construction to new energy low carbon build projects.

Person specification:

  1. Follow and promote the companys health and safety policies.
  2. Use initiative be selfmotivated and able to work without supervision. Good interpretative skills.
  3. Ability to prioritise various and changing tasks.
  4. Work to deadlines and communicate early when this is not feasible. Well organised. Flexible.
  5. Good communicator and a team player.
  6. Accuracy literacy and numeracy abilities.

    What do you need to be successful

    1. Previous experience with utility networks
    2. Surveying / Civil Engineering background desirable particularly in the Electricity Networks industry.
    3. Microsoft Office including Word Excel PP.
    4. Full UK Driving licence.

    Desirable:

    1. CSCS/SMSTS / SSSTS
    2. Membership of a professional body (RICS/CICES)
    3. AutoCAD 2D & 3D
    4. Experienced in AutoCAD Map3D / Civil 3D / GIS
    5. First Aid
