Job Description of Research Analyst

Data Analysis

• Perform data analysis using statistical software such as R/SAS or other tools and analyze complex data and interpret results.
• Designs analyzes implements and reports findings on targeted statistical populations and groups.
• Formalize analysis plans and reporting specifications.
• Build collaborative relationship with individuals in different disciplines.
• Assist in preparation of proposals grants research and reports abstracts and manuscripts.
• Plan and document computer data file structures develop program manage and maintain complex statistical databases.
• Contribute and provide research support to Syra Healths epidemiology and biostatistics projects.
• Responsible for providing expertise in program design implementation and revision with a focus on evaluating outcomes.
• Perform both quantitative and qualitative data collection (such as focus groups interviews and surveys) and analysis.
• Data collection and analysis of state region county and local level related to healthcare and public health.
• Produce informative and userfriendly reports charts and data visualizations.
• Perform literature review and provide brief reports.
• Establish and maintain public health data repository.

Project Management

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Collaborate with a crossfunctional team to define scope milestones dependencies resources.
• Create and manage project schedules and plans.

ProblemSolving/Critical Thinking/Solutiondevelopment

• Identify and analyze complex crossfunctional issues using data.
• Solve problems autonomously or with little guidance.
• Use data to show/ tell a story and problem solve.
• Assist in mapping out existing processes and then performing gap analysis against industry defined best practices.
• Assist SMEs in documenting revised processes.
• Help develop population health solutions and business proposals.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in public health Economics Statistics or related field from an accredited institution is required.
• 1 to 2 years experience in industry or academia
• Proficiency in using statistical software.
• Extensive utilization experience in Excel (advanced functions)
• Experience with literature review and writing reports.
