Responsibilities
- Translate business needs to technical specifications
- Design build and deploy BI solutions primarily using PowerBI
- Maintain and support data analytics platforms for webbased BI
- Create tools to store data (e.g. OLAP cubes)
- Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
- Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
- Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
- Develop and execute database queries stored procedures and conduct deep analyses
- Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
- Develop and update technical documentation
Skills
- 5 years of proven experience as a BI Developer
- Must have worked with large international clients on mission critical business reporting
- Proven ability to articulate and communicate with senior business leaders
- Excellent communication skills proactive and ready to work in a Garage environment.
- Proficient in DAX Language (3 years of developing DAX queries in Power BI) to develop dynamic reports and dashboards to show analytics value to the end customer.
- 3 year(s) SQL coding experience for loading and extracting data
- Design and development of Power BI Dashboards connecting directly to several data sources including Cloud SQL Excel flat files realtime IoT streams 3rd party DBs etc.
- Background in data warehouse design and data mining
- Indepth understanding of database management systems online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract transform load) framework
- Analytical mind with a problemsolving aptitude
- Bachelors or masters in computer science preferred
