Remote Software Integration Engineer (C, C++, Drivers, and Internet Protocols)

Only candidates with 3+ years of overall software development experience are eligible for this role.

Turing.com is looking for a Software Integration Engineer on behalf of an early-stage startup led by industry-veterans in the robotics industry. The engineer will be responsible for interfacing multiple sensors with the software and developing timing solutions that impact the product. The company’s founding team of serial entrepreneurs and industry experts are leveraging decades of research and experience to build and ship the product in the shortest time possible. This role requires a time overlap with the PST time zone or GMT. It is well-suited for those who would like to work with a vast engineering team from Stanford, Oxford, Google, etc., and build exciting new products.

Job Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of a new category of product based on a different approach to self-driving

• Assist with the sensors synchronization and automated testing

• Help boost the health of the robot hardware and software interfaces

• Work as a founding team member and ship products rapidly

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

• At least 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience

• Sound proficiency in interfacing with Ethernet, Camera Link, MIPI CSI-2, UART, PCIe, CAN, serial interfaces

• Core competency in writing drivers for sensors, e.g., cameras, LiDAR, GNSS, Radar

• In-depth knowledge of protocols like NTP, PTP, TCP, UDP

• Solid expertise in C and C++14 or above
