An excellent opportunity to experience a wide variety of presentations in a regional setting. As an ED registrar you will get unrivalled exposure to real Emergency Medicine (including procedures) within a fully supervised department.
There is a successful teaching program for junior and middle level doctors led by several FACEMs who are passionate about teaching. the ED is accredited by ACEM for 24 months of training.
Hospital: This 171 bed Hospital has undergone an upgrade which includes the first ICU outside of the Metropolitan area, a comprehensive cancer care centre and an extended ED.
It s an exciting time to be joining the Hospital with a $200 million transformation about to take place.
The Department receives more than 45,000 presentations per year of whom approximately 30% require admission. ED medical staff include Specialist Emergency Physicians, Senior Medical Practitioners, Registrars, Residents, and Interns.
