NO TRAVEL PAIRS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years Unit accepts first time travelers PATIENT POPULATION: Adults to Geriatrics RATIO: 1:2 UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis EPIC REQUIRED CERTS/SKILLS: BLS ACLS NIH; Interpretation & Management of dysrhythmias Multisystem organ failure Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring IV Insulin Protocols GI surgery Genitourinary/Renal Chronic/Acute Renal failure IV therapy Accessing Ports Arterial line management Blood Product Administration Central line care/management PICC line management Starting IVs Continuous IV sedation Titrate Cardiac drips Titrate Vasoactive drips CVA/Acute Stroke management Assist with management of BiPAP Assist with management of CPAP Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal Care of Ventilated Patient High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) Interpretation of ABGs Suctioning (ETT NT) Infection Prevention Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE Phlebotomy Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS: RTO: MAX 7 days Blocked Scheduling Not Guaranteed WEEKENDS: EO CALL REQUIREMENTS: HOLIDAYS: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
