Looking to hire a female Regional Director Sales (North) responsible for leadership and development of the regional Sales team consisting of the indirect sales channels. Regional Director is responsible for the overall coordination the functional management and leadership of all of the sales activities of the region in accordance with the sales strategy and the business plan
Key Responsibilities:
Create define and execute on the Regional Sales Strategy.
Drive operational excellence for the sales channels.
Constantly improve performance using coaching training and continuous operational reviews combined with liaising with other departments to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
Ensure sales staff & the franchises have the tools to deliver worldclass sales and customer service excellence.
Meet/exceed sales targets for both GSM and Financial Services to deliver in an operational efficient and productive way
To understand that being the member of the management team of the company the essential nature of the duties is to aid and to promote the management / administrative process and ensure execution strategy in line with our Cluster Based Operating Model (CBOM).
To ensure effective implementation of companys sales operation system and policies in the context of sales & distribution of Telenor products and services.
Manage overall sales process hit the distribution health benchmarks
Accountable & responsible for the regional Sales and Distribution budget /Trade budget
Manage regional performance against agreed targets and budgets and within policies and standards
Responsible for meeting performance objectives such as the SIM sales Recharge & FS sales
To continuously increase the active number of retail outlets in the region
Keep abreast of competitive issues in the market and communicate these issues and potential impacts to the business
Responsible for compliance regulatory & legal affairs for the region specific to the franchise /sales channel & adherence to PTAs SOP
Execute the responsibilities of a head according to lawful and ethical standards as specified in the code of conduct
Become O.E.(Operational Excellence) Advocates! Continue to lead in O.E. across all parts of the sales organization.
Work collaboratively with all other departments to ensure Regional sales department is aligned with strategic and tactical initiatives in the company and the region
Responsible for developing and leading the sales team to deliver sustained competitive edge of Telenor at the point of purchase through the franchise channel
Drive a performance based sales culture which consistently meets/exceeds their sales targets
Act as a coach and leader to the sales management team: provide strategic and tactical direction to team monitor prepare and conduct performance reviews provide established sales objectives to team ensure the sales team is motivated and performing to established standards
Setting of sales objectives and goals both annual and monthly for the sales staff and the channel in line with the Companys business plan while ensuring profitability of the Franchise
Develop a culture of knowledge sharing learning sharing ideas and feedback in an open and constructive way within the region to contribute to the development of a stronger and aligned customer centric organization.
Monitor performance (in relevant areas) according to agreed standards and take necessary action to communicate/advise/assist according to performance levels
Provides leadership to the daytoday operations of the sales department while maintaining focus on the companys strategic goals
Develop strategies to keep the sales channels performing and adapting to shifting market demands
Increasing market share in existing markets / assigned region and maximize new business development opportunities.
Maintain good relationships with the channel (Franchise & retail) and develop and implement strategies for expanding the companys customer base.
Promote positive relations with partners vendors and distributors and ensure that the channel is profitable and motivated to focus towards the business
Ensure that franchise territories are followed strictly and no transshipment of sims eload and cards take place.
Educational requirements
Education: University degree ( Masters)
Work Experience: Minimum 8 years in leadership role
Preferred experience in the telecom industry or from the FMCG industry
Functional Skills / Knowledge Areas
Strong background in sales and sales leadership
Is highly organized and has very effective time management skills
Strong negotiating skills and analytical capability
Work well in a pressure situation and be a mentor/coach to the team
