Our product is more easily transported, installed and maintained yet priced below traditional concrete, plastic or galvanised steel alternatives.

We're now looking for an R&D Engineer or Mechanical Engineer to join and help drive forward both our manufacturing process and product development.

Tasks

As our R&D Engineer at Deploy Tech, you will be the figurehead in contributing to developing both our product and the manufacturing process.

We have a pilot scheme in place with a pipeline of projects that need to be produced. You will work on these prototypes as you learn about our product and production process.

As our designated R&D Engineer you ll lead the design of the equipment and processes needed to make production quicker and less labour intensive after you have understood our current manufacturing process.

We have a significant amount of budget for investment in the right equipment, along with access to a wide range of materials and tools to build exactly what we need bespoke and fabricators in the house.

You will lead the design and specification of our manufacturing process, which is likely to include the use of hoists, cranes and other equipment for manipulating heavy loads.

While our product is proven there is still room for improvement and optimisation. You ll be designing improvements to existing products and designing new accessories to improve functionality.

Requirements

You must be an experienced Mechanical Engineer or R&D Engineer with experience in a commercial role.

We re looking for the most ambitious, so a top degree in Mechanical Engineering will be essential.

We don t mind how long you ve worked in your previous role or the types of products or materials you ve worked with, but you need to have entrepreneurial flair with an ability to research, design, develop and execute.

You should be comfortable working in producing CAD drawings when required.

You don't need to be an expert in the materials we use but you should be aware of the challenges of working with innovative composite materials.
