Job Description

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety across all aspects of operations. This role plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing quality management systems and fostering a culture of excellence within the organization.

I. Duties:

Quality Management:

  • Develop implement and maintain a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish quality control processes for all phases of production including component manufacturing assembly testing and installation.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and enhance product quality and reliability.
  • Provide training and support to employees on quality assurance procedures and best practices.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health safety and environmental regulations and standards governing the wind energy industry in Texas including OSHA EPA and ANSI/ISO standards.
  • Stay informed about changes in legislation regulations and industry best practices related to quality and health & safety and ensure timely updates to policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to regulatory compliance audits inspections training and incident investigations.

Supplier and Customer Quality Assurance:

  • Establish quality criteria and specifications for components and materials procured from suppliers and conduct supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their quality requirements and expectations and address any concerns or issues related to product quality or performance.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and health & safety and implement measures to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Facilitate quality improvement initiatives and projects such as Lean Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes reduce waste and enhance product quality.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by encouraging employee involvement and participation in quality and safety initiatives.

Health & Safety Management:

  • Develop and implement an effective health and safety management system (HSMS) to promote a safe working environment and prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential health and safety hazards associated with workshop operations.
  • Establish and enforce safety protocols and procedures including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
  • Provide ongoing safety training and education to employees contractors and visitors covering topics such as hazard recognition emergency response and accident prevention.
  • Investigate accidents incidents and near misses and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve safety performance.
