Role

Our enterprise SaaS application has evolved over a period of about ten years. We constantly need to maintain and enhance this application to satisfy business needs and in parallel we are investing in new technologies that will transform our business.

To support this work we are seeking an experienced QA Engineer who can work independently on manual and automated QA tasks. This role ideally would have a good background in .Net application testing SQL and NoSQL data systems in Azure. Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as selenium and playwright is a requirement. Understanding how to read and write tests in C# is important.

In this role you will interact closely with the Helpdesk team who log and pass on technical issues raised internally or by our customers. You will also interact with development and product teams. You will need to put together test plans and execute on a day to day basis within the sprint.

The role as is the entire company is entirely remote working. Scheduled hours are US Pacific hours for the most part with occasional requirements to meet in UK hours.

We expect you will already have experience in QA creating test plans executing tests aiding in troubleshooting and resolving issues with web application software and are familiar with testing .Net C# SQL NoSql APIs and CSS HTML and front end systems from angular to Blazor. You are an avid user of Jira and have worked on software in cloud systems. Bonus if you are up to date on Blazor and MVC.

Given the remote working model we need someone who is highly motivated a selfstarter well organized and comfortable interacting with a diverse range of colleagues all of whom will be working remotely globally and across multiple time zones.

Responsibilities

Hands on QA automation scripting.

Manual testing of front ends and APIs.

Building test plans for each sprint ensures stories are clear enough to be testable.

Ensuring the QA processes are followed and tests are completed in a timely manner within the sprint process.

Works across the company and with customers to build user acceptance testing plans and aids in tracking the execution and completion of acceptance tests.

Skills

Core skills

Excellent troubleshooting skills

Basic knowledge of C# .Net SQL NoSql Css Html.

Familiar with testing web applications and serverless backends.

Experience with testing APIs.

Experience with ticketing system (e.g. Zendesk Jira).

Experience with Automated testing frameworks. (selenium bunit playwright Zephyr)

3 years as a QA engineer.

Desirable skills:

Knowledge of Blazor.

Experience testing in serverless Azure environments.

Experience in an Agile development team.

Experience testing for Web Accessibility requirements such as ADA Section 508 etc.

Experience working in CI/CD pipelines and automation.

Used to working in an SOC II certified engineering team.

Miscellaneous

Excellent communication skills ability to discuss technical topics with technical or nontechnical audiences.

Comfortable taking part in technical discussions.

Comfortable working individually to achieve group goals as the role is 100% remote.
