Overview:

The Purchase Executive plays a crucial role in the procurement process of the organization ensuring that goods and services are acquired in a costeffective and timely manner. They are responsible for maintaining strong relationships with suppliers conducting market research and negotiating contracts to optimize the organizations procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify procurement needs and develop purchase plans.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and trends.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to secure advantageous contracts.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to determine procurement needs and specifications.
  • Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure ontime delivery.
  • Manage supplier relationships and resolve any issues or disputes.
  • Review and analyze purchase requests and ensure adherence to procurement policies.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
  • Assess supplier capabilities and conduct supplier performance evaluations.
  • Implement costsaving initiatives and strategies for efficient procurement processes.
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to make strategic procurement decisions.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile invoices and payments.
  • Participate in the selection and qualification of new suppliers.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on procurement activities to management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Purchase Executive or in a similar procurement role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes policies and procedures.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and perform supplier evaluations.
  • Proficiency in contract management and vendor relationship management.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management principles and best practices.
  • Good understanding of financial analysis and cost optimization.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
  • Proficient in using procurement software and tools.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Proactive and resultsdriven approach to procurement activities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong ethical values and integrity in procurement practices.
