DESCRIPTIONThe Proofreader is responsible for ensuring that all materials reflect the highest level of quality, readability and alignment with brand tone and voice standards. The Proofreader ensures grammatical, legal and factual accuracy in all copy. This role is responsible for error-free quality, consistent and accurate materials. The Proofreader must exhibit proficient editing/proofreading skills, outstanding attention to detail, deadline sensitivity, autonomy and teamwork in completing assigned projects and tasks. In addition, a basic knowledge of scientific messaging is needed to ensure final materials are accurate, clear, consistent, and impactful.

Job Responsibilities:

• Edit and proofread various written materials, including marketing materials, website content, and internal documents.
• Ensure grammatical accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company style guidelines.
• Correct spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors.
• Verify factual accuracy and cross-check information.
• Work closely with the marketing and communications team to review and finalize content.
• Suggest improvements to enhance clarity, readability, and overall quality of written materials.
• Maintain and update style guides and templates.
• Collaborate with writers and other team members to resolve any content-related issues.
• Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Essential Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a proofreader or copy editor.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in grammar and spelling.
• Proficient in using style guides and editing tools.
• Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with team members.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.

Desired Experience:

• Prior experience in editing dental or healthcare-related content is a plus.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and content optimization.
• Experience in proofreading and editing online content, social media posts, and email campaigns.
