Project Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Project Managers act as Engineers as well as Supervising and leading teams and projects in Engineering and Design. This position will require knowledge in established norms of the CNG Biogas RNG Vapor Recovery and Gas Compressor packaging industry and in compliance with the current national and international standards for the care and construction of related machinery and equipment.
  
• The qualified and selected candidate will be in the 120 125K range with bonus eligibility of 20% base salary. As currently aligned this position has seven direct reports.
  
• This is an exempt position that may require in excess of a 40hour week in order to effectively carry out the listed job duties. Occasional travel required.
  

• Responsible for the timely completion of projects within budgeted goals.
  
• Responsible to review and approve all EQRs (Engineering Quote Request) for projects under the Project Manager s direction ensure projects are completed within the allocated timeframe within the budgeted machine cost and budgeted hours and that the projects perform according to project scope.
  
• Supervises and conducts performance reviews of direct reports in engineering.
  
• Provides professional and technical guidance as needed.
  
• Manages new product projects.
  
• Forms and manages project teams of personnel from engineering manufacturing and customer service.
  
• Interacts frequently with customers regarding project status and engineering changes. Work is subject to regular review and minimal supervision.
  
• Proposes champions and participates in product development projects as prioritized.
  
• Responsible for concurrent engineering of new designs with Companys manufacturing marketing and customers.
  
• Keeps abreast of technology developments; visits customers to assess their needs.
  
• Formulates recommends and upon approval implements company policies with respect to engineering operations.
  
• Maintains thorough knowledge of applicable industry national and international standards regulations and laws regarding safety and standard design practices; responsible for Companys design standards including national and international standards.
  
• Responsible to maintain necessary and sufficient records of technical developments including calculations analyses tests procedures sketches and drawings reports letters and memos. Utilizes these records in support of patent copyright and trademark applications.
  
• Responsible for new product engineering documentation.
  
• Shares information with fellow employees teaching and training them to become more productive technically competent contributors toward the achievement of company goals and objectives.
  
• Responsible for reports to management as required.
  
• Assists Comapanys sales customer service and manufacturing departments in technical matters when needed; periodic travel as required.
  
• Seeks evaluates and conducts negotiations with vendors regarding machinery components.
  
• Is proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Solid Works 3D CAD Systems.
  
• Responsible to mentor Designers Engineers and Project Engineers to assist with their professional development and potential career advancement.
  
• Visibly supports lean and other process improvement activities. Participates in rapid improvement events. Applies continuous improvement practices to one s job. Supports transition activities as required. Maintains an open mind throughout the change process.
  
• Works with others to continuously fuel improvement throughout the Company.
  
• Contributes to Companys core competencies of Market Intelligence and Product Development by gathering and reporting all relevant information. This includes competitive information and new technology trends.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  
• Six years experience in the engineertoorder machinery industry or an Associate s Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  
• 1012 years of application/engineering experience in the machinebuilding industry Supervisory experience
  
• Knowledge of parts numbering systems bill of materials and engineering revision systems.
  
• Must be proficient with integrated business systems design for manufacturing and engineering design standards.
  
• Must communicate well with external customers and internal customers especially in marketing and customer service.
  
• Essential to the position are communication follow through and project management skills
