Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to project managers and project team in coordinating planning communicating and executing the delivery of core project components.


General Skills:

  • Experience collaborating with various groups to gather updates and maintaining project budgeting progress reporting action items risk management updates etc.
  • Experience working alongside project managers to provide updates escalate where required identify risks and lead project document deliverables
  • Demonstrated experience working in a professional environment supporting multiple project managers and critical projects.
  • Experience developing project status reports and maintaining and monitoring status reporting logs
  • Experience scheduling meetings
  • Experience monitoring project document repository and ensuring all documents are reviewed and maintained in the repository


Desirable Skills:

  • Demonstrated excellent project management software skills and experience e.g. MS Project Planview etc.
  • Understanding of basic Project Management concepts (e.g. project goals risk scope participant roles planning cost and quality management)


Requirements

Experience and Skill Set Requirements:

Must haves:

  • 3 years experience working in project management applying project management methodologies. Prefer Project Management certification (PMP/Prince 2)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)


Skill Set Requirements:

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Education: University degree in Finance Economics Business Administration Information Technology or related discipline.
  • Experience: 3 years experience working in project management applying project management methodologies. Prefer Project Management certification (PMP/Prince 2)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)


Experience tools:

  • Proficient in Office products
  • Spreadsheet management (Excel)
  • PowerPoint
  • Portfolio Management Tools


Education:

  • Past Experience in Project Coordination
  • College diploma or relevant training in finance accounting bookkeeping or office administration
  • Two to four years experience in project management environment applying project management methodologies


Communications Skills:

  • Relationship management experience
  • Strong communications skills


Experience roles:

  • 3 years experience working in project management applying project management methodologies. Preferred experience in a similar environment working in a regulated industry or public utility setting. Prefer Project Management certification (PMP/Prince 2)
