About the Client:
Our client is a progressive, co-educational, Muslim secondary school for students in Grades 9 to 12. Located on the outskirts of Metropolitan Toronto, Canada, the school is accredited as an independent secondary school with the Ontario Ministry of Education.
Responsibilities:
In charge of:
Planning and coordinating school programs and activities.
University Transition for grade 12 students Islamic and Social - coordinate and come up with a program/plan in collaboration with Guidance Department and Islamic Studies teacher
Coordination of activities and clubs during and after school, and promotion of the clubs via school website, social media, and other forms
Improving school climate evaluating student success at the school, school culture, environment etc.
Review data and present to admin and staff
School Newsletter Editor
Coordinate and produce a school newsletter a minimum of 5 times per year
Committees and Involvement:
(Student Activity Council) Co-CHAIR
Oversees the operations of the SAC and guides the SAC in establishing yearly goals based on the SAC purpose and mission (goals done with SAC during training)
Provides support to SAC teacher advisors in establishing and following policies and regulations of the constitution
Ensure proper processes are being practiced under SAC constitution
Responsible for organizing the SAC elections
Member of School Safe Committee
International Trips Committee Member
In charge of reviewing and improving the financial assistance program
Contribute in finalizing the Umrah itinerary and religious programming during the trip
Conduct some of the preparation sessions and review material for students prior to the trip
Other possible duties as assigned by Admin:
Sourcing out various workshops for students
Develop programs such as robotics, presentation skills, uses of online programs to use in classrooms
Coordinating field trips
Looking into new trends in science, math, literacy
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Arts or Business (Ideal)
Minimum College Diploma in Business or Arts
Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
