Production Assistant Supervisor

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the production team and ensure that all tasks are completed in line with production schedules and quality standards.
• Train mentor and support production assistants to achieve optimal performance and productivity.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels ensuring that the production process is not hindered by inventory shortages.
• Identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the production process addressing them promptly to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
• Assist in coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth and seamless production processes.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for all production staff.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of production procedures and workflows.
• Carry out regular quality checks to ensure that products meet established quality standards.
• Assist in maintaining production records and reports for performance evaluation and process improvement purposes.
• Oversee maintenance and cleaning of production equipment to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
• Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new production team members.
• Work closely with the production manager to meet production goals and targets.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and increased efficiency within the production process.
• Participate in regular meetings to discuss production activities and improvements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Business Administration or relevant field.
• Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
• Excellent problemsolving abilities to address production issues and challenges.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with team members and other departments.
• Ability to organize and coordinate production activities to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations within a manufacturing environment.
• Attention to detail to perform accurate quality checks and maintain production records.
• Proficiency in using production and inventory management software.
• Ability to analyze production data and identify areas for improvement.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing production priorities and requirements.
• Previous experience in training and developing production staff.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as production demands require.
