Role Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our Business Strategy team as a Product / Project Manager.

Product / Project Manager ensures the development and successful launch of all projects within the bitFlyer EU business growth strategy, and is capable to provide a deep and effective analysis of our business needs, acting as a confident consultant for business in defining the goals for projects. She/He will facilitate the collaboration between bitFlyer business units and engineering teams

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Work very closely with the bitFlyer (Japan) Business Strategy team and Project Management teams on various product improvement initiatives, and project management.
• Coordinate the development, monitoring, launch, release and tracking of specified projects, in line with the expected and agreed criteria (quality, cost and delivery times), to comply with an optimal delivery of projects and products developed within the bitFlyer EU growth strategy.
• Identify, define, and assess business needs, project scopes, objectives, development specifications and project obstacles, to manage, correct and optimize the course of development of all proposed initiatives.
• Promote the alignment/organization of all necessary business units/functions division, to harmonize all necessary collaboration to bring projects forward and optimize their final quality.
• Perform reporting on project status and risk assessment to facilitate accountability, management, and transparent circulation of information to all related stakeholders.
• Coordinate, administer and supervise the testing and implementation of all developed solutions while complying with all applicable regulations and safety measures, to ensure optimal efficiency and quality of the products/solutions offered.
• Liaise with bitFlyer Japan and US office whenever necessary, to ensure a harmonized deployment of all activities.
• Ensuring final product safety and compliance with all applicable regulations
• Respond to queries and provide support in project management matters where necessary to everyone including the Authorized Managers at bitFlyer EU, ensuring all information needed by all related stakeholders is properly circulated.
• Develop projects and perform tasks assigned by management as necessary, ensuring an effective accomplishment of the bitFlyer EU objectives where required, especially, those within the Project Management/Business Development scope.

Experience / Knowledge /Education

• Proven degree in Economics, Finance or Business
• Qualification in Project Management methodologies such as Agile/PRINCE2 preferrable.
• Prior experience / interest / knowledge of cryptocurrencies/blockchain technology
• At least 3 years of experience in Project Management.
• Proven experience in the financial sector desirable.
• Previous experience in Japanese multinationals will be an advantage.
