This multinational original engineering manufacturer has new Product Support Engineers opportunities they are growing their technical team and are recruiting experienced Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to work alongside them in this dynamic expanding team.

The Role:

The role involves supporting the products and assisting in the applications that they could be used in. These technical questions come in via the phone email and internal systems from internal customers and external customers. The product range is large spanning from pneumatics to electric drives serial interface actuators to chillers. The successful candidate will also be involved in rolling out product training writing technical reports and carryout returned product investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the external sales team to support and enhance market share growth.
• Provide technical support through phone emails Teams calls Webinars and visits to customers.
• Develop and deliver bitesize training sessions to educate both staff and customers.
• Continuously develop your skills and knowledge in the industry.
• Investigate and analyse product returns providing detailed reports and recommendations.
• Work on developing proposals for new products to meet current and future customer needs.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to stay informed about industry trends.
• Contribute to the introduction of new products ensuring they align with customer requirements.
• Take part in Industry Exhibitions

Qualifications and Skills required for the Product Engineer role:

• A Degree HND Qualification or equivalent in electronics electromechanical or mechanical engineering.
• Methodical problem solver organised and able to keep clear and comprehensive records.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal. This role demands someone with the ability to be understood using a lot of communication channels.
• Ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
• Hands on testing and diagnostics experience.
• Have technical knowledge paired with a degree of sales understanding would be of benefit.
• Enthusiasm for energysaving initiatives and sustainability.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
