The Role
Accountable for the development of relevant Mainline apparel collections which are aligned to the commercial brief and the product rangeplans.
Understands and adheres to key dates and gates so that orders can be placed ontime and according to the Mainline calendar.
Responsibilities
Developing product from the initial concept through the development process to preproduction stage and all quality points to ensure that the end product is fit for purpose.
Working closely with the design team you will source new ranges to develop the style concept as required considering costs/margins.
Chasing initial prices & negotiating s once styles & quantities are confirmed.
Maintain and manage the critical path process ensuring all details are kept up to date.
Building the range plan.
Liaise directly with suppliers / factories
Build effective relationships and communication within other business departments.
Approve lab dips and bulk fabrics.
Liaise with all supply bases to achieve critical path dates.
Ensure that all quality points of the product are achieved to ensure that the product is fit for purpose
Skills & Qualities
The ideal candidate will have a background in product development.
Be a team player whilst being able to work individually using own initiative.
Excellent communication skills essential.
Must have experience dealing with offshore suppliers/manufacturers and solid experience of managing a critical path & price negotiation.
