Job Description of Procurement Manager
Ropstam is looking for a dedicated Procurement Manager, who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement process within an organization. He is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods/ items necessary for the company's operations while ensuring the best quality, price, and delivery terms according to the software industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to support the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to identify procurement needs, specifications, and requirements.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and determine the best sources of supply.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate contracts, prices, and terms and conditions to achieve the best value for the organization.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manage supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Monitor market trends, changes in suppliers' capabilities, and emerging procurement best practices to continually improve procurement processes.
  • Collaborate with the legal department to review and finalize contractual agreements, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, including supplier information, contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Monitor and control procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effective procurement practices and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Resolve any procurement-related issues or disputes, working closely with stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams to find suitable solutions.
  • Stay informed about software industry developments, new products, and emerging technologies that could benefit the organization's procurement activities.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on procurement activities, including savings achieved, supplier performance, and potential risks or opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or similar role within the software industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations in the software agency.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in using procurement software and MS Office to streamline procurement processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
