Job Description of Procurement Manager
Ropstam is looking for a dedicated Procurement Manager, who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement process within an organization. He is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods/ items necessary for the company's operations while ensuring the best quality, price, and delivery terms according to the software industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to identify procurement needs, specifications, and requirements.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and determine the best sources of supply.
- Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate contracts, prices, and terms and conditions to achieve the best value for the organization.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manage supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Monitor market trends, changes in suppliers' capabilities, and emerging procurement best practices to continually improve procurement processes.
- Collaborate with the legal department to review and finalize contractual agreements, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, including supplier information, contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Monitor and control procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effective procurement practices and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Resolve any procurement-related issues or disputes, working closely with stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams to find suitable solutions.
- Stay informed about software industry developments, new products, and emerging technologies that could benefit the organization's procurement activities.
- Provide regular reports and updates on procurement activities, including savings achieved, supplier performance, and potential risks or opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or similar role within the software industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations in the software agency.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in using procurement software and MS Office to streamline procurement processes.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
