Procurement Manager LATAM

Our client is a multinational company, with a global presence. In order to sustain their LATAM regional growth, we have been asked to recruit the Procurement Manager.

The position will have a direct line reporting to the Global Procurement Director and a dotted line reporting to the General Manager LATAM. S/he will be responsible for coordinating a team of 3-4 people in multi-site locations across LATAM.

Main responsibilities:

• Create global Supply Market intelligence regarding Commodity related trends and technologies per region to design an optimum sourcing footprint
• Identify Supplier capabilities, performance, and technologies by conducting competitive assessments and benchmarking existing and potential suppliers
• Identify Commodity related business opportunities based on provided Supplier innovation/ideas
• Create breakthrough CM Strategies and Programs to ensure the best results and fully leveraged synergies
• Ensure effective communication and representation of Commodity strategy, programs, and performance to all key-stakeholders
• Manage execution of Commodity Funnel measures in the region in alignment with BU Functional axis
• Create and aligns sourcing plan to optimize Supply Base and implement Supplier enabled innovation
• Define convincing business cases and decision memos to ensure full commitment by the Businesses to provide required resource
• Ensure full utilization of the Negotiation toolbox and approach to maximize sourcing savings and best results
• Finalize and approves Supplier Strategy and Business plan based on defined Commodity strategies and proposals.
• Ensure operational impact through fully compliant Supplier selection, contracting, and risk management for all Commodity Related Suppliers

Qualifications and requirements:

Studies in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent experience

Around 15 years of experience in the Procurement sector. Manufacturing experience will be considered a plus.

Experience in management of a Procurement team.

Commodity Strategy Development, Commodity Market Expertise

Procurement processes & governance, Supply Base Risk Management

Business case calculation incl. Make vs. Buy and Total Cost of Ownership

Good skills in Lean methodology and Project Management

Flexibility, drive, negotiation, and decision-making skills

English and Spanish languages (fluent)
