Print Production Associate

We are currently looking for a Print Production Associate for one of our clients in the printing industry.

Hourly salary of $17.
12month contract.
Fulltime (37.50 hours per week).
Weekday schedule from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (onsite).

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate various specialized finishing equipment and machines to cut fold gather and finish brochures magazines books business forms and other printed materials.
Operate binding equipment such as paper cutters inserters laminators and hole punchers.
Perform maintenance and repairs to maximize customer uptime.
Clean and maintain equipment.
Maintain inventory.
Determine output requirements machine setup print and check proofs (may include scanning and minimal document manipulation) run the job remove output and deliver output.
Perform maintenance and repairs of highfrequency service call areas on specified equipment to maximize customer uptime.
Clean reprographic color hilite color and wide format equipment and change supplies.
Monitor and manage supplies.
Record meter reads process production forms and maintain records.

What you will need to succeed:

Able to read write and follow instructions.
Math skills (multiplication division percentages).
Able to lift and move 50 pounds.
Able to detect production inconsistencies and quality issues.
Experience in finishing environment operating finishing/binding equipment.
6 months to 1 year experience in a Customer Service environment.
1 to 2 years experience in a Print Shop environment.
Post high school technology training or experience (Preferred).
Able to operate large centralized digital equipment.
Proficient in operating both black and white (B&W) and color printers.
Familiarity with Freeflow printing software.
Competence in operating paper cutting drilling punching and coiling machines.
Experience with large format printing and related finishing equipment.
Skillful in detecting production inconsistencies and ensuring quality output.
Proficiency in using PC applications within a networked environment.
Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with minimal supervision.
Attention to detail and customerfocused mindset.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Familiarity with finishing equipment such as laminators and cutters.
