As a Press Brake Operator you will be responsible for the setup and operation of press brake machines to bend form and shape metal sheets according to specified blueprints and job orders. This role requires precision attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and adjust press brake machines according to job specifications including selecting and installing appropriate tooling and ensuring machine settings are accurate.
Interpret engineering drawings blueprints and job orders to determine bending sequences dimensions and tolerances.
Load metal sheets into the press brake machine aligning them properly for accurate bending and forming.
Operate the press brake machine to bend shape and form metal sheets into required shapes and angles monitoring the process to ensure quality and consistency.
Inspect finished parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring tools such as calipers micrometers and gauges.
Make necessary adjustments to machine settings and tooling to correct deviations from specifications.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on press brake machines such as cleaning lubricating and replacing worn or damaged parts.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.
Collaborate with other team members including supervisors engineers and quality control personnel to meet production goals and quality standards.
Document production activities including recording job times quantities produced and any issues encountered during the manufacturing process.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings blueprints and job orders.
Strong mathematical skills including the ability to calculate angles dimensions and tolerances.
Experience with press brake machines and related equipment.
Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and processes.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent attention to detail and precision.
Strong problemsolving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
