Solutions Architect Remote (UK) with travel to customer sites (20%)

60 to 70K Package

IRC are currently working with an IT Managed Services Cyber Security and Cloud Solutions provider who as a result of continued growth are recruiting for a Pre Sales Solution Architect with IBM Power Servers Storage & Datacentre technology knowledge and expertise

As a Presales Solution Architect you will play a pivotal role in a leading internationally recognized technology managed services provider. Working within a small Sales and Marketing Team you will engage with diverse customers across various sectors including Finance Manufacturing and Retail where your primary responsibility is to lead presales solutions and projects collaborating closely with Customer Success and Technical Teams to develop and deliver proposals that contribute to winning new business.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Solution architecture and technical leadership in Managed IT Services Cyber Security solutions and services and IT Infrastructure (primarily IBMi Power & Storage).
  • Provide expert technical knowledge and guidance throughout the presales process from requirement gathering and scoping to quality management.
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 practices applying due diligence to approvals and governance processes.
  • Accountable for successful handover to the Service Delivery team and accuracy of design specification to installation. Provide market and sales feedback.
  • Work closely with internal teams and clients identifying technical and business requirements offering problemsolving and innovative designs.

Skill & Experience

  • At least 3 years experience in a pre or postsales technical consultancy role in a clientfacing commercial organization.
  • IBM Power Servers and storage expertise
  • Microsoft Dynamics / Azure
  • Understanding data centre management & control (clients kit in our DCs)
  • Client business partner; vendor & supplier management; excellent relationship management
  • Cloud and cyber security technologies
  • Understanding monitoring & back up tools (such as: Halcyon; Falconstor; Zabbix; SolarWinds; VEEAM; Evault)
