We are seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our Portfolio Management team in London. This exciting opportunity places a strong focus on enhancing our flexible generation capability whilst also contributing to the optimization and hedging of our existing portfolio. What you will do:

• Develop and maintain the GB (and Ireland) flexible generation capability including the understanding and potential optimisation of different generating asset income streams (such as Balancing Mechanism and Ancillary Services).
• Maintain relationships with all parts of the business including origination and counterparts in other analytical functions within the company.
• Explore and understand and where appropriate assist in the integration of Group data capabilities into the UK & Ireland Portfolio Management team.
• Engage with and respond to client interactions to provide a first in class client experience.
• Follow the established Axpo UK training framework to become an FCAcertified member of the team.

What you bring & who you are:

• A Bachelors degree in an analyticallybased discipline or ideally a Masters degree in an analyticallybased discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in energy asset optimization and trading.
• Familiarity with modeling and optimizing Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and flexible asset revenue streams.
• Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy in analyses and decisionmaking
• Proactive and driven to understand complex problems offering innovative solutions.
• Proficient in statistical analysis and modeling.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience using Python and SQL desirable.
