Title: Platform Infra Architect
Location: Remote and open to travel
Contract
Role Description & Requirements:
Responsible for Platform Infrastructure Transition and Transformation Management platform templates and delivery of infrastructure solutions for our enterprise client missioncritical systems. Delivery responsibilities includes management of solution template by platform and also includes infrastructure reference architecture participation delivery management implementation scheduling and coordination financials and contractual support.
We are looking for candidates with a broad background of infrastructure architecture and delivery best practices including cloud delivery. Resource must demonstrate proven trackrecord in infrastructure service delivery for business and the ability to learn quickly as technology advances new innovations and offerings enter the market.
Job Responsibilities
Specific Requirements
- 10 years of overall IT / technical services experience with Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field of Information Technology
- Platform and infrastructure architecture experience Cloud Hybrid and Private hosting
- Excellent understanding of ITIL processes IT systems infrastructure and best practices.
- Project management experience in an infrastructure oriented environment
- Capable of working in a growth oriented environment with ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent requests projects and responsibilities
- Proven track record of leveraging vendor and consultant expertise for IT project delivery and support
- Strong analytical problem solving and judgement skills
- Leadership and Customer facing skills
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills
Fundamental understanding of the following technology areas:
- Compute and Networking (LAN WAN WLAN)
- Storage (SAN) and Backup
- Virtualization (Server and Storage) Public Hybrid and Private clouds
- Web Technology (Web Servers Application Servers Load Balancers)
- Security technology and processes e.g. firewalls intrusion prevention compliance monitoring vulnerability management
- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning
- Capacity Planning
- High Availability
- Well versed with Infrastructure financials operations
Highlevel understanding of specific technologies:
- Cloud Microsoft Azure AWS GCP or Oracle Cloud
- Cisco UCS
- Microsoft Windows and Linux Operating Systems
- Cisco Network Gear
- EMC/3PAR
- VMware / Oracle Virtualization
- Veeam / Symantec NetBackup
Preferred Skillset
-
- VCP3/VCP4 certification
- ITIL V3 Certification
- MCSE CISSP CISA or CISM is plus.
