PCB Design Engineer (Cadence)
Job Description
Requirements:
Schematic Design and Capture: Ability to create clear and accurate schematic diagrams that represent the electrical connections components and functionality of the PCB.
Component Library Management: Experience in building and maintaining a comprehensive component library ensuring that all components are accurate and up todate.
Footprint and Library Creation: Proficiency in creating and maintaining PCB footprints and component libraries ensuring accuracy and compatibility with the design tools.
Layout: Proficiency in PCB layout using tools like Cadence Allegro ensuring that the physical design aligns with the schematic.
Gerber Generation: Ability to generate Gerber files the standard format for PCB fabrication and assembly to accurately communicate design specifications to manufacturers.
Signal Integrity Awareness: Understanding of signal integrity concepts to design schematics that minimize signal integrity issues.
Electrical Design Standards: Knowledge of industryspecific electrical design standards such as IPC standards and the ability to ensure compliance in schematic designs.
Troubleshooting Proficiency: Proficient in identifying and resolving design issues throughout the PCB design process.
Documentation and Labelling: Diligent in documenting schematics with part numbers values footprints and clear labels to facilitate PCB layout and assembly.
Revision Control: Experienced in using version control systems to manage and track revisions throughout the entire PCB design process ensuring accurate documentation.
Quality Assurance: Ensuring quality and accuracy throughout the entire PCB design process to minimize errors and enhance manufacturability.
Exposure to DFM and DFT Techniques: Familiarity with techniques for Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) to enhance the production and testing processes.
Experience in Digital Analog and DCDC Power Converter Circuit Design: Capability in designing various types of circuits including digital and analog as well as power converter circuits like DCDC converters.
