P6 Outage Scheduler

Critical Business Analysis currently has an opportunity in the Tampa Florida area for a Scheduler with a minimum of five years experience in P6 schedule development maintenance and analysis for large plant capital projects. The position is for a 90day outage at a Waste Facility and requires critical thinking to maintain and analyze resource loaded project schedules. The capability to critique schedule data and communicate to the project stakeholders the impact of that data analysis is a must. The candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently to carry out job requirements. The outage is 24/7 so there will be opportunities for both day and night 12 hour shifts. This is a contract position and per diem is available.

Requirements

• Previous outage experience.
  
• Minimum five years experience using P6 to manage large capital projects.
  
• Experience working directly with engineers construction contractors and suppliers.
  
• Comprehensive understanding of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) principles and project coding structures.
  
• Ability to work on shift on a construction site and travel to nearby client office site or warehouse as needed.
  
• Understanding of construction and field work practices including site safety.
  
• Proficient in the use of software applications including Excel Word and PowerPoint.
  
• Excellent communication and analytical problemsolving skills.
  
• Effective working in a large group Project Controls environment.
  
• Microsoft Project experience is a plus.
