Responsibilities: Orchestrating Retail Excellence

  • Stock Allocation
  • Execute all inventory allocations according to category and seasonal plans in line with the allocation schedule.
  • Execute new store allocations as advised by Merchandise Planner in line with new store timings.
  • Execute seasonal allocations as advised by Merchandise Planner to ensure seasonal and event launch dates are met.
  • Execute promotional allocations based on historical and seasonal sales ensuring all inventory is allocated in a timely manner.
  • Communicate out of stocks and low stocks of promotional inventory to the Buyers and Promotional Coordinator before promotional materials are distributed.
  • Ensure accuracy of all transfer orders entered and resolve any transfer order issues.
  • Stock Ordering
  • Raise all crossdock and directtostore purchase orders in line with monthly ordering schedule category and seasonal plans within available open to buy.
  • Submit orders outside of available open to buy through the agreed approval process.
  • Communicate supplier out of stocks and discontinued items to the buying team.
  • Communicate supplier price increases to the buying team for negotiation and approval.
  • Execute new store orders as advised by Merchandise Planner in line with new store timings.
  • Incorporate seasonal crossdock and directtostore items with essential and reorderable orders as advised by Merchandise Planner to ensure seasonal and event launch dates are met.
  • Order Management
  • Ensure accuracy of all purchase orders before submitting for approval.
  • Timely order adjustments upon advice of changes from suppliers. Aim for 100% PO fulfillment accuracy.
  • Management of order expected receipt dates weekly with all overdue orders updated before close of the week.
  • Champion order discrepancy management through Medius and advocate for the adoption of new processes.
  • Escalate continued supplier noncompliance to the Buying Team to be addressed.
  • Communication
  • Participate in and facilitate ongoing regular communication with:
  • Key Supplier partners regarding sales forecasting and reporting.
  • Head of Buying and Buyers regarding product ranging sales and distribution.
  • Head of Planning Head of Technology & Supply Chain Shipping Coordinator and 3PL Coordinator regarding inventory movement requirements.
  • Head of Retail Retail Operations and Regional Managers regarding store performance new stores and store gradings.
  • Head of Marketing and Promotional Coordinator regarding promotional activity.
  • Head of Ecommerce regarding online inventory management.
  • Demonstrate Cheap as Chips Values in all interactions with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure all stakeholders are considered when changes updates or actions are required and communicate in a reasonable and timely manner.
  • Administration
  • Respond in a timely manner to incoming communications for internal and external parties.
  • Maintain inventory item vendor codes and pricing units of measure within relevant systems for all crossdock and directtostore items.
  • General
  • Attend and actively participate in meetings as required.
  • Learn and retain knowledge for store requirements based on demographics.
  • Complete all other duties as reasonably required/directed by the Head of Planning.
